Arcadis, in partnership with EVOCRA, has received the 2019 UK Brownfield Briefing Award for Best International Project, for their project "Full-Scale Treatment of PFAS-impacted Wastewater Using Ozofractionation Validated Using Total Oxidisable Precursor Assay".
The Environmental Analyst Brownfields Briefing Award Winners Guide noted that "An international award was introduced this year and Arcadis and EVOCRA's successful treatment of PFAS, an emerging contaminant of worldwide concern is timely. It contained some world firsts including using a TOP assay for validation and compliance assessment."
The judges of the award said: "In a new category that attracted a number of quality entries from around the world, this Australian project clearly demonstrated the successful treatment of what is an emerging contaminant of worldwide concern."
