A recent article in Remediation Technology highlights the benefits of the combination of ozofractionation and electro-oxidation in PFAS treatment
A recent article in Remediation Technology, "Ovivo Presents PFAS Destruction Solution with Foam Fractionation and Electro Oxidation", highlights the benefits of combining Evocra's patented ozofractionation foam fractionation technology with Ovivo's electro-oxidation (EOx) destruction technology to destroy PFAS.
Providing an overview of Ovivo's upcoming presentation at the RemTec & Emerging Contaminants Summit in October 2024, Tom Whitton and James Locurto discuss Ovivo's pilot project at the West Morgan, East Lawrence Water and Sewer Authority drinking water treatment plant, in Alabama. Rather than using granular activated carbon (GAC) to treat Reverse Osmosis (RO) concentrate (otherwise known as brine or reject), resulting in a large volume of solid waste requiring landfill disposal, the Ovivo approach is to instead treat the concentrate using ozofractionation (marketed as Olift in North America), resulting in a very small volume of liquid PFAS waste that is then destroyed using Ovivo's electro-oxidation technology (Obreak). This completely removes PFAS from the environment, ensuring future generations are free from PFAS.
